A 501C3 non-profit organization with a mission is to achieve success and advancement through education, advocacy, and training for all.
Our team is a dedicated group of certified and experienced professionals—including social workers, educators, school leaders, special education teachers, behavior analysts, classroom assistants, school psychologists, mental health therapists, and committed parents—who bring both expertise and lived experience to the work we do.
VolunteerIn June 2022, recognizing a critical gap in services for children of all abilities within the
community, a small group of us came together with a shared vision for change.
With backgrounds spanning education, disability services, and mental health—and
firsthand experience supporting children across a range of needs—we united our
expertise and passion.
What began as a heartfelt idea soon evolved into a meaningful movement. From that
spark, Safeena Foundation was born.
Our mission was to create inclusive spaces and programming for people with all abilities within our Muslim community. We want to increase the literacy rate of knowledge through education and enlightenment of the Islamic sources thereby inspiring individuals to its practical application and facilitating the development of a strong personal identity.
Our plan of action was to achieve this by providing classes, workshops, counseling, advocacy, and social services based on the principles of Quran and sunnah for a richer life experience for all
Core values like inclusivity, education, service to community, professional development, advocacy, counseling, parent and community workshops, and support for families.
